Summary
The new WCCCD Urban Institute will collaborate with WCCCD's Institute for Social Progress to present a national workforce development conference titled "Community Colleges Responding to the Economic Crisis: Transforming America's Workforce" scheduled for May 14, at Detroit's Cobo Center. The district will also partner and join hands with several local businesses and organizations and community groups, and provide a common platform to discuss the crisis, examine its impact and implement possible solutions.
WCCCD is committed to the continued development of new programs, hosting more community-based training sessions, improving student facilities and services, upgrading technologies, making capital investments in massive building expansion projects, and training staff members to enhance their skills to maximize efficiency.See the full content of this document
