Summary

"When people get involved, things happen," said Worthy. "It's not going to happen overnight. This is a long-term effort."

Worthy's personal experience as a crime victim gives her insight in her role as the County's top Prosecutor. Her patience and measured approach to life will be useful as she approaches her next challenge, hosting the National Black Prosecutor's Association Convention from July 18 until July 23 at the Detroit Marriott. She has been able to attract prominent national figures such as American Bar Association President Dennis Archer, Harvard Law School professor and author Charles Ogletree, and University of Pennsylvania professor and author Reverend Dr. Michael Eric Dyson. "We are working diligently to have a first-rate convention that showcases Wayne County and the members of our profession in a positive way," said Worthy. People who know her well are sure it will be just one of her many worthy endeavors.
