The Southern Oakland County NAACP, which represents Berkley, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, Bloomfield, Bloomfield Hills, Clawson, Farmington, Farmington Hills, Ferndale, Franklin, Hazel Park, Huntington Woods, Lathrup Village, Lyon, Milford, Novi, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Oak, Royal Oak Township, Southfield, Troy, Walled Lake, West Bloomfield and Wixom, is a front line advocate for improving the quality of life for African Americans and other minority groups.
