At Ringside; a Super Bowl of Boxing to Be Held This Weekend

Summary

Dubbed "Fight Night at the Fisher," the card will feature an array of Kronk's current professional and amateur boxing stars. In the main event, Kronk's undefeated heavyweight Jonathon "K.O." Banks (9-0, 6 KOs) squares off against Milwaukee's undefeated Mike Word (5-0-1). Southwest Detroit's Octavio Lara and Cincinnati's Aaron Pryor Jr. - both from Kronk - round out the pro end of the card.

With that, The Palace doors are open Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. for "The Legend Continues." Thomas "Hitman" Hearns and son, Ronald "Motor City Cobra" Hearns, are the featured attractions in a scheduled eight-bout fight card presented by Donofrio Boxing and Harley Brown First Round Productions.

It looks to be an explosive evening on the undercard as well, with several very promising bouts. Lanardo "Pain Server" Tyner (9-0, 6 KO's) faces tough spoiler Leo Martinez in a six-round 154-pound clash. Philly's Tyrone "Young Gun" Brunson has pleased fight fans in Detroit with his devastating power that has seen several of his opponents removed from the ring on a stretcher. He looks to make James "Jammin" Morrow (8-1-2, 4 KOs) of Lafayette, Ind. victim number nine.
