AT&T's wireless stores have also been offering products such as AT&T HomezoneSM service and high speed Internet since 2006. The addition of AT&T wireline products to wireless stores is only a small benefit that comes from the growth of AT&T's wireless unit.

"The bottom line is that AT&T is the premier wireless company in the country, and wireless is at the heart of AT&T," Ducharme said. "It's our customers who will benefit from the unique blending of our companies. We're off to a great start already, and the future promises to be very exciting for Detroit."
