It's easy to see the effect "Pop Culture" has on the youth of today. The entertainment industry continues to thrive in days when other businesses experience tough times. From band camp to community theater to American Idol auditions, youth and their families will go to great lengths to become involved in the performing arts.
There are many organizations that work to use the power of pop culture as a force to effectively introduce positive options for youth. What if some of these like-minded groups came together to create something very special, combining the content and curriculum they promote with a presentation that motivates youth to a new level of greatness? "Pages to Stages" proposes to do just that.Plans are underway to develop a dynamic program designed for presentation in schools and youth-serving organization facilities. This initiative would include groups such as Youth Under Construction, The Guest Stars Inc., Arise Detroit!, Legacy Associates and several others. These groups have been working successfully on their own for many years. The time has come to assemble the best each group has to offer in a single program.
