Nonprofit Raises Funds to Save Art Programs in Schools

Summary

"We are seeking individuals to rise up and help make art possible for kids. Creativity drives the United States economy," said Carol Hofgartner, founder of Art Road Nonprofit. "One day our art students will be designing your home, office and your car because they were exposed to architects and designers in our classes."

"Art Road classes open doors for creativity," said [Todd Patrick], president of the Art institute of Michigan. "They build self-esteem and awaken new interests, enhance the school experience and encourage greater success in life. Art Road links future career paths with expressive art activities that promote discussion and imagination. We are proud to be sponsors."

Children who participate in arts programs have also shown an increased love of learning and develop a greater ability to be prepared for the workplace of tomorrow.
