Summary
Smokey Robinson spoke eloquently (and harshly) when Mary Wells left Motown in 1964 after being the company's star attraction for nearly three years. Almost all of her big hits were written and produced by Robinson, including "The One Who Really Loves You," "You Beat Me to the Punch," "My Guy" and "Two Lovers."
