Detroit and Marygrove College welcomed Octavia Reese, Miss Michigan 2005, home on Sunday, July 31, after receiving her crown June 19 in Muskegon. She was raised in the West McNichols/Wyoming neighborhood surrounding Marygrove and returns to her roots to celebrate her victory. Neighbors, friends and the community are welcome to meet Miss Michigan in Marygrove's Madame Cadillac Building from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Marygrove is located at 8425 West McNichols Road at Wyoming.
