She also supports community-based programs for organizations such as the Detroit-Windsor Dance Academy, helping the organization develop a strategic plan in 2007 and celebrate its 25th season in 2008. She also recently participated in a national campaign that generated more than $125,000 to establish a scholarship at the University of Michigan for undergraduate members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated's Nu Chapter.
