Summary
[Ravitz], who later-became a judge on the former Detroit Recorder's Court, often worked with the late Ken Cockrel Sr. in the 1960s and 1970s to help fight abuse by police, the courts and other institutions.
The most famous of their (and other activists') victories was the dismantling of the undercover Detroit Police decoy squad Stop the Robberies, Enjoy Safe Streets (STRESS), linked to 20 deaths, 17 of which were of African Americans.See the full content of this document
