Joseph C. Marshall Jr.

Summary


He was the only African American graduate from the University of Detroit-School of Law, Class of 1950. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1951. His first office was in River Rouge with the late Atty. Harold Jackson. He later moved his practice to the city of Detroit. It was always his intention to set up his office in the community he served and he remained in the New Center area until retiring in 2004.

Mr. Marshall died due to complications of congestive heart failure at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak on June 8.
