Second Ebenezer Signs Last Beam of Steel to Be Erected at Site of New Church Location

Summary

"It was a beautiful day and a beautiful site to see the Second Ebenezer family line up in an orderly fashion to sign the beam," said Dr. Vann. "The news was reporting rain and construction continued throughout the entire event, but everything went off very, very well. It brought a tear to my eye to see the wonderful progress.

"Having our church in this new community provides me and my family, our non-profit arm Vanguard CDC, and the entire Second Ebenezer Church congregation, an opportunity to serve even more of the people of this city," said Dr. Vann. "We not only look forward to serving them spiritually, but we look forward to providing child care, after-school programs, food and clothing for those in need, and performing other good work in the community."

"We didn't want to abandon our current community and leave an empty building behind," said Dr. Vann. "We plan to leave it open to continue to provide service to the community. Are church is growing in leaps and bounds, and the bigger we become, the more people we want to reach out to and serve."
