"It was out-standing, it was beautiful," said [Dennis Archer], a Roman Catholic. "I felt honored to be so included. This pope will be missed and he was well loved."

"I think the Holy Father is to be appreciated for his willingness to travel worldwide, and to speak openly of peace, race relations and healing," Archer said. "He went to every country where he was invited. He spoke openly. He respected other religions and religious beliefs, but promoted Catholicism."

"He was touched by poverty," she said. "He was touched by people who were always striving to do better."
