Summary
Geared toward people with diabetes and their families, Diabetes Update participants rotate between a series of educational breakout sessions to learn self-care approaches to decrease the risk for diabetes-related complications. Those complications include heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, blindness, sexual dysfunction, gum disease, and lower-limb amputations.
Diabetes and chronic kidney disease, the link between cardiovascular disease and erectile dysfunction, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and diabetes and the eye are among topics that will be discussed at Diabetes Update.
